[REVIEW] - Barbie Eye Gossip Aqua

Sorry that it has been so long since I've last posted but I just got a job (YAY!). However, I have been taking pictures and recording some videos so I can have some things to work on when I do find the time! Without any further ado, here is a lens review!

I usually get my circle lens from honeycolor because they have most of the styles I like and they are pretty quick with their shipping. I haven't had any troubles with their shipping or their products so whenever I need new lens, I would head over for a quick shop. Recently, however, I wanted to try some new styles and have more options! I've always heard of Pinkyparadise but have never ordered from there, so I was a bit skeptical. Also, their prices a bit more expensive compared to honeycolor. So as a trial, I picked three styles that weren't available on honeycolor and decided to try out Pinkyparadise.

Unfortunately I can't comment on their shipping because I actually had it express shipped to me (I ran out of contact lens to wear) so I'm not sure which site is faster. Another unfortunate event was that I never got a shipping e-mail from them so I never knew that it shipped. I missed the first delivery time and had to check constantly for the second delivery from FedEx. I do have to say, however, that I love that I got different contact cases! When I ordered from honeycolor, they gave me 10 pig cases and it was hard to differentiate.

Overall, my experience with Pinkyparadise was pleasant and I don't mind re-ordering from their site if I want to try out some styles that honeycolor do not offer. Moving on from my opinions about the two sites, here is the lens review you've been waiting for!

As you can see in the photo above, the enlargement effect that isn't by much.

The photo above was taken in natural sunlight.

Comfort - 3.5/5
I have definitely worn other circle lens that were much more comfortable. There were some that actually made me forget that I was even wearing them! These, however, were not those lens. I feel my eyes getting dry every so often and that I couldn't keep my eyes open for a period of time. This made putting on makeup hard because I can go on without blinking for a good period of time. These contacts made it difficult since they dry out pretty easily.

Enlargement - 3/5
There were some enlargement but definitely not too noticeable. This is because there is no black ring on the outside and also the colors fade in. If you are looking for a more innocent, doe-like effect, then this pair of contacts are not for you.

Color/Design - 3.5/5
I had gotten compliments from the color design for this pair of contacts. I also do like how a bit of yellow is mixed in with the blue so that it isn't too much of one color. The design and color itself is a very pretty combination but for my dark brown eyes, it isn't easily seen indoors.

Overall - 3.5/5
Overall I would not be buying this pair of contacts in the future because it wasn't exactly what I was looking for. My friends, however, liked that it wasn't a bright shade of blue but they also didn't notice that I was wearing color contacts. Also they weren't too comfortable and that sucks big time since I tend to wear my lens all day long! I can't have them drying out on me every hour or so.

I would recommend this pair of contact lens for anyone who has light eyes and want a bit of enlargement, but not the doe-eye effect.

Love and Kisses,

    1. Thanks! And yeah, I was so sad that it gets dry so easily! :( Hopefully if I soak them longer, it won't be as dry
